If we purchase a boat in NH/CT/MA and export it abroad where its going to reside 365 days out of the year - is there a way we can get an exemption on the MA boat excise tax if the boat is located and used exclusively outside the US?
Vessels acquired from a dealer in New Jersey are subject to Sales & Use Tax. Vessel acquired by a resident of this state, including documented vessels, from a dealer outside the State of New Jersey are subject to Use Tax at the time of first use in this state.
